Local Genealogy Indexes Listed below are the indexes created and maintained by the Genealogical Research Society of Eau Claire (GRSEC) or Cheryl Janke. These are volunteer projects undertaken by members of the GRSEC and may not be complete or without error. These indexes are available directly from the library website. Just click any index title to get started. All-in-one Search This new research tool will scan across all of our local historical databases at once. To use, conduct a search and then click on each tab to view any records found. The Obituary Index An index to obituaries found in Eau Claire County newspapers from 1858 to the present. It contains the names of thousands of people who were born, married, died, buried, worked, etc. in Eau Claire County. This is an ongoing volunteer project undertaken by members of the GRSEC and may not be complete or without error. The Cemetery Index An index to most cemeteries in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. Cemeteries included are B'nai B'rith, Bethlehem, Brunswick, Calvary, Drammen, East Lawn/Side, Hadleyville, Hales Corners/Scotts Valley, Hay Creek, Holy Guardian Angel, Lakeview, Lincoln, Ludington, Lutheran Church, Oak Grove, Orchard, Pleasant Valley, Prince of Peace, Rest Haven, Sacred Heart, St. Bridget’s, St. Luke's, St. John's (Eau Claire and Fall Creek), St. Patrick's, St. Paul’s, Thompson Valley, Trinity, Union, West Lawn/Side, and Zion.Forest Hill Cemetery, one of the oldest cemeteries in the City of Eau Claire, is not available here at this time.
