Census and Military Records
The library has state and federal censuses on microfilm for 1836-1930 that pertain to most of West Central Wisconsin. We have complete census records for the counties of Barron, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Price, Rusk and St. Croix.
Genealogy Resources

Genealogy-related databases and internet resources including access to HeritageQuest, Ancestry Library Edition, Sanborn Maps, Family Search and much more to assist you with your genealogy research.

Magazine and Journal Articles

A searchable database of the literature of philanthropy. It incorporates the unique contents of the Foundation Center's five libraries and contains more than 30,000 full bibliographic citations of which nearly 20,000 have descriptive abstracts. It is updated daily.
PubHub
PubHub is a searchable repository of annotated links to reports and issue briefs covering the full scope of philanthropic activity in the United States, was created to showcase and make more accessible the knowledge generated or supported by foundations.

Eau Claire City Directories: In collaboration with the ResCarta Foundation, the 1880-1923 city directories for Eau Claire are now on the Library's website.
Eau Claire Area Historical Photographs
The library has partnered with the Chippewa Valley Museum to provide access to its significant collection of photographs depicting life in Eau Claire and in the surrounding area.
