Get a Library Card

Any Wisconsin resident is eligible for a free library card by visiting the library with proof of your current residential address.

Getting a free library card is easy and allows you to:

  • Check out materials from any of the libraries that share the MORE online catalog
  • Get materials from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan
  • Use computers at the library

Any Wisconsin resident is eligible for a library card. Visit the library with proof of your current residential street address (driver’s license, mail/bills, or anything that shows your current street address).

  • You are responsible for any materials that are checked out on your library card.
  • Please report any lost or stolen cards to the Circulation Services desk immediately, we will place a block on the card until it is found or replaced. You must provide identification to receive a new card.
  • Replacement cards are available with a $1.00 charge.
  • Please notify the Circulation Services department with any address or phone number changes.
  • You must use your library card at least once a year for your card to stay on file.

Your Account
From any computer connected to the Internet, you can:

  • View items checked out and their due date
  • Renew items on your library card
  • View the status of holds you have placed, including those ready to be picked up and the date to pick it up by
  • View fines owed or other charges
  • Check “My Reading History” for items you have read or viewed
  • Access your “Saved Searches”
  • Add or change your e-mail address
