Desk Clerk (Circulation Services)

Do you love helping people and connecting them with the resources they need? The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library is currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Desk Clerk who has a passion for public service to work at the Library’s front desk.  As a Desk Clerk, you will assist customers by checking materials in and out, processing library card applications, and transferring library materials between customers and shelves and SO MUCH MORE. The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library is looking for candidates that will work independently with minimal direction, follow procedures, prioritize and multi-task, be a reliable team player with a strong commitment to customer service, and work in a fast-paced environment.

This position works an average of 19 hours/week including a variety of afternoon and evening hours, and every other Saturday.

The anticipated 2023 starting wage is $15.41 and includes pro-rated holiday leave.

Van Driving Page (Circulation Services)

Are you an early bird that loves working independently? The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library is seeking a reliable, courteous and safety-minded van driver to retrieve library materials from the 10 book drop locations around Eau Claire, return the materials to the library, and then assist with the processing of these items.  Must have excellent driving record and the ability to work independently. The ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance is preferred. Frequent lifting is required.

This is a part-time position, averaging 15 hours per week. The anticipated 2023 starting wage is $11.65 per hour. Must be willing to work Monday-Friday 5AM-8AM.
