Play Kits

If you’re in need of some fresh activities for the little ones, take a look at our collection of Play Kits curated for children ages 3-5.

  • Each themed kit contains approximately 5-7 books and a variety of educational toys.
  • Kits may contain small pieces.
  • Play Kits must be checked out and returned to the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library.

Activity Backpacks

On the lookout for new games and activities to try out at home? Check out one of our Activity Backpacks!

  • Activity Backpacks are filled with a variety of books, games, experiments, and other activities that can be enjoyed by children in elementary school to early middle school and their families.
  • All kits must be checked out and returned to the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library.

Parenting Collection

Launched at the end of 2019, this collection contains materials for both children and adults on a range of family topics. You’ll find picture books for children about welcoming a new baby, potty training, adoption, divorce, and managing emotions. You’ll also find informational books for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-8 that focus on four main categories (click to see book suggestions in each category):
