Meeting Rooms

Read the new meeting room policy, effective January 1, 2017.

The library has two meeting rooms available at no charge for public use by groups and organizations for non-commercial programs, workshops, meetings, classes and forums. The Chippewa Room offers a standard conference-style setup. Users requesting the Eau Claire Room are responsible for the setup and take down of tables and chairs.

Meeting rooms are only available for use Monday through Saturday during the hours the library is open for business: Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. An e-mail address is required to submit a request. Confirmations are sent via e-mail only.

Request a room in a few easy steps:

  • Read and verify that your event meets the library’s policy and guidelines.
  • Check for room availability. NOTE: Rooms may not be requested less than 10 days before your event.
  • Fill in the information for your event and agree to the meeting room policy when submitting your request.
  • Your request will be reviewed by staff and you will receive e-mail notification if it was approved or denied.

Eau Claire Room

Available for use: 100 chairs, 14 6-foot tables, white board, lectern.

Equipment included: LCD projector with (for use with your laptop, HDMI output required); Blu-ray/DVD player; two wireless microphones; t-coil hearing loop system.

Please note: groups requesting use of audiovisual equipment are responsible for the use of the equipment.

Standard setup: Conference-style tables with 20 chairs; 5 additional chairs.

Equipment included: 65″ LED smart television screen (for use with your laptop, HDMI output required); Blu-ray/DVD player.

Study Rooms Now Available

The Library has two study rooms:  The Red Cedar Room and the Youth Services (YS) Study Room.  The YS Study Room is intended for children under 19 or by adults working with children.  The following policies apply:

  • Study rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis when the study rooms are not reserved.
  • The Red Cedar Room and the YS Study Room may be used by an individual or group for one hour per day, and if there is no one waiting, time may be extended for up to a maximum of two hours per day.
  • All persons using the study rooms must stop at the appropriate service desk to check-in prior to use and to check out after use.
  • Study rooms may be released if check-in does not occur within 10 minutes of the reservation start time.
  • The maximum number of people allowed in the adult study room is 8. The maximum number of people allowed in the YS study room is 4.

Reservations may be made for the study rooms up to one month in advance by contacting Information & Reference at 715-839-5004 (Red Cedar Room) or Youth Services at 715-839-5007 (YS Study Room).
