“My paintings are a synthesis of materials, chance, and discovery. Letting my intuition guide me, the subjects for paintings are a result of the emerging inner landscapes that the painting process makes visible. I remain open to the sensory responses and symbolic associations that emerge through the painting process. Along the way, accidents, imperfections, and unplanned imagery are acknowledged and gradually become refined in a rich layering of paint and surface. Titles emerge during or after the completion of a painting as a response to feelings that the images convey.”
