“While hiking around the Eau Claire City Wells area, I came across this pipe gushing brown water. The land impacted by the output appeared charred and lumpy, as if a surreal moonscape or aftermath of a nuclear war. Research revealed it is actually stained with iron and manganese, not PFAS, and has been filtering in this manner since the 1950s.”
