“My paintings, drawings and collages constitute a contemplative artistic practice in which to study color language: their composition, richness and complexities, effects and interactions. These colors arranged in relational patterns on rectangular surfaces of canvas and paper allow for my imagination to exceed beyond the photographic visual dialectic, and beyond the highly recognizable and referential subject.

Working at a slow and measured pace, I place opposites next to each other with the whole spectrum of available visible color as my springboard. Within this structure, the voices of values, hues, colors, emotion, temperature and intuition can interact completely. The finished product is the residue or the outcome of the process.”
