“I am a self taught artist. Four years ago I picked up a brush for the very first time and was hooked! Since then I have poured over numerous art books and watched videos, learning the basics to painting.
Along this journey I have found that I like painting with acrylics and painting landscapes. The beauty of nature just pulls me in and gives me a warm happy feeling. Growing up in a rural setting I have many joyful memories of being outdoors. My playground consisted of the trees in our woods, the snow in the winter, and the creek down the road.
My style of painting is both realism and painterly. I love using color to set the mood with my paintings. I often times incorporate the sun’s shadows and light to bring those feelings out.”
