“This piece was inspired by a winter photo taken by the artist in the beautiful Coulee Region of La Crosse County. The large tree is made of fabric enhanced with inktense details and quilting. The background is raw edge cotton fabric collage with thread painting and free motion quilting. Sumac and brush in the foreground were designed by the artist created with freestanding free motion embroidery.”
