Generations: Tuckahoe 1945
“When I was 2 years old, my family moved to a house outside of Tuckahoe, New York, in which that I ultimately grew up. This painting is of my paternal grandmother, mother, and me, standing in front of that house. My favorite parts of the painting are: the hat on the railing, that I assume belonged to the person taking the picture, probably my grandfather; the huge fur collar on my mother’s coat; and both women’s shoes.”
