1878-11-14 Willis R. B. Willis, one of the oldest settlers in Sixth Ward, has sold his place to Dr. Thrane. When Willis built [his] house there was no other in what is now the Sixth Ward, except for Mr. Gans' house, the few buildings around the Bolles place which were then more than 1/2 mile out of town, a small house on 2nd Ave., and Mrs. Reinhardts'. There are now 140 voters [in that area].
