Smith William C. William Smith came to EC as receiver of local insurance business which had failed. Jim became leading agency but died in 1918. Lillian Dunnigan ran business for the estate for five years then bought it. Jim built 101 Summit Ave. in 1915. Minnie adopted a girl, Winifred, now living in Long Beach. Smith came from DePere, WI. Was attorney-in-fact for Inter Lumber Insurance created by special act of legislature. After he died, Lillian was attorney-in-fact and secretary. William Irvine of EC was chairman.
