1905-09-03 EC Commercial Syndicate EC considered "dead" in 1887. Syndicate went to Chicago and secured furniture factory giving bonus of $5,500 and giving location. Weyerhauser gave the Eau Claire River water power, old mill and machinery if group would guarantee linen mill would not fail.

On North Barstow & WI will remodel & open September 1.

Will make concrete machinery, gasoline engines & canning plant machinery. Buildings will be concrete blocks made by own machinery.
