The road is to cross the Chippewa on the high ground at the foot of the Dells, thence in an easterly direction near the "Big Bend" along the north side of Mount Tom crossing the EC river a short distance from the mouth of Otter Creek. The surveyor speaks very favorably of the route from Hudson to this place & syts that it is almost in a direct line from Menomonie to EC. |
