Adopt a Shelf 

The library needs your help to keep our books in order and shelves dust free!

Adopt a Shelf volunteers are assigned a shelf in one of the following areas:  Adult Fiction/Non-Fiction and Young Adult Fiction/Non-Fiction.  Once a shelf is assigned to you, a nameplate will be placed at the end of your shelf.

Plan to spend 2-3 hours each month taking care of your shelf in the following ways:

  • Dusting the books and shelves
  • Facing the shelves by bringing the books to the edge of the bookshelf
  • Placing books that don’t belong on your designated shelf on the carts founds throughout the library
