EVENT: Storytelling with Jessie Taken Alive-Rencountre: A Journey in Pride, Culture, and Courage

Join author Jessie Taken Alive-Rencountre, a Hunkpapa Lakota from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, for a reading of her book Thunder’s Hair! Hear the story, learn the inspiration for the book, and discover important cultural elements included in the story. You will leave the session knowing the history and teachings of long hair, but also a sense of pride for yourself and feeling empowered to be a “modern-day warrior” in helping those around us. Recommended for all children and their families. Registration required.
