“For The Local Store Deliveries, drawing with ink allowed me to render intricate details that would be difficult to achieve with other media. Soft washes complemented the ink work with additional depth and texture. The greenish hues of the painted iron railing speak to the patinas often found on landmarks. This “world headquarters” basement entry provides a historic lens through which I could imagine the business a century ago. Contemporary claims to fame include a visit from Kamala Harris and Tim Walz during their Democratic campaign tour.”
