Fragile Mind

Caroline Swiatko

acrylic

“My name is Caroline Swiatko and art is like breathing to me—an intrinsic part of my existence. At 20 years old, I can’t recall a time in my life that wasn’t colored by creativity, no matter the medium. As I breathe without thought, I have always done the same with my art. It is a vital process that keeps me alive, an expression of my voice in the only way I’ve ever known.
My work primarily features still life’s and landscapes, communicated through strong strokes and vibrant colors. Each stroke is my breath, infusing my pieces with my energy and emotion. When I exhale my work, I invite others to inhale. Art sustains us. It connects us to our humanity, allowing us to share who we are. I believe everyone has their own relationship with art; it can evoke comfort or discomfort. If work does not resonate with you, simply exhale. It’s not for you and there’s beauty in the act of letting go, just as there is in embracing what speaks to you.
In this way, I strive to create pieces that provoke thought and emotion, fostering connection and understanding. My journey as an artist is a continuous cycle of breathing life into my visions, inviting you to join me in this essential dance of existence.”
