“In 2023, I was biking near Western Avenue and saw this clump of lane markers huddled beneath the pylons. Little did I know that two years later, it would become timely subject matter. The mixed media included colored pencils, some of which belonged to Allan Servoss, lovingly given to me by Gail Servoss. I feel it is an honor to use them in my work. Coffee wash served as an underpainting, and ink offered the crisp edges.”
