“Sunsets and their vibrant colors are a constant source of happiness for me. The joy comes both from observing the fleeting moment and from attempting to preserve it on the canvas. A drive down a country road this past summer compelled me to stop and capture this one. The core artistic challenge is making the acrylic layers glow with the same intensity as the actual sun. Every sky presents a unique puzzle of light reflection and cloud interaction, a technical challenge I embrace. Ultimately, my goal, as an artist is to translate that feeling of awe and tranquility. I like to think that my paintings can offer viewers a moment of peace, allowing them to experience that same sense of joy and wonder.”
