“Ghastlie Gertie is a result of a challenge to use the chosen fabric of stylized watercolor flowers. Instead of flowers, I saw goldfish tails! This fantasy fish is set on an underwater background, in particular using the whimsical fabric in the line of the “Ghastlies”. Gertie is fascinated by the fishing bob dangling within reach. Beads, charms, and yarn are used for embellishment.”
