“Peaceful Evening on the River is an art quilt, inspired by a photo taken by Micah Gottschall while boating on the back waters of the Mississippi River near La Crosse. This piece has an impressionistic quality that I created with tiny pieces of fabric held in place with fine netting and thread painting. It depicts the serene feeling inspired by spending time relaxing on, in, or near the water. Life slows down and feels gentle and soft.”
