How to Change Your Pick-Up Location to the Drive-Thru
Wait, the library has drive-thru materials pick-up? Yep! Our drive-thru window is located in the Level 0 parking area, accessible from Dewey Street. Here you can pick up holds you’ve placed using the pick-up location called “Eau Claire Drive-Thru.” Next to the drive-thru window, we also have a driver’s-side material return slot that’s open 24/7.
How do I send my hold to the drive-thru window?
As you place a hold using the online MORE catalog, you can choose a pick-up location.
1. Select “Eau Claire Drive-Thru” from the drop-down list.
Note: If you have enabled “Single-Click holds,” the window shown above will not appear, and your hold will be sent to your default pick-up location.
How do I change the pick-up location for an item?
In your account, you can change the pick-up locations for materials you already have on hold.
1. Go to the online MORE catalog and log in to your account.

2. In the upper right corner of your browser window, click on your Username.

3. From the drop-down menu, under MY BORROWING, select “On Hold.”
4. The On Hold page shows you a list of your items currently on hold. To the right of each item, find a summary of its information.

5. For each item, find the “Pick up at” text and click on the current location to access the location drop-down menu.

6. From the location drop-down menu, select “Eau Claire Drive-Thru.”
You’re done! Repeat the process for any items you want to pick up at the drive-thru window.
How do I change my default pick-up location?
In your account, you can select your preferred pick-up location as the default.
1. Go to the online MORE catalog and log in to your account.

2. In the upper right corner of your browser window, click on your Username.

3. From the drop-down menu, select “My Settings.”
4. On the My Settings page, under Account Preferences, click “Holds and Pickup Location.”
5. On the Holds and Pickup Location page, read the instructions and make your selections using the location drop-down menus.
Note: The Holds and Pickup Location page is also where you can turn “Single-Click Holds” on or off.
What if you chose the wrong pick-up location?
Don’t worry. You can always change an item’s pick-up location until it’s actually on its way to the location you selected.
Please carefully read your hold pick-up notices!
Make sure you go to the pick-up location listed on your notice. Unfortunately, once you arrive at the drive-thru window, our staff will not be able to retrieve your holds from the hold shelves on Level 1. (You will need to park and enter the library to get your items.)
