THE EXHIBIT
Now in its 46th year, our annual juried exhibit is open to all artists and students, age 18 and older, residing in Wisconsin. The competition is juried by a working visual artist, craftsperson, or qualified individual from outside the area. The juror curates an exhibit of the strongest pieces, and they select the award winning artists. Prizes are donated by the Friends of the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library.
This year, there were 235 entries submitted by 140 artists representing 34 different communities. Of these, 39 works were selected from 38 artists.

THE JUROR
This year’s juror is Melissa Dorn. Dorn is a Milwaukee artist obsessed with industrial mop heads, feminism, and labor. Her sculpture, paintings, and installations utilize craft, pulling at threads of her history, midwesterness, and the ordinary. Dorn earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) and has been actively involved with the college since graduating. Her best role yet is teaching
as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the First-Year Experience program, where she encourages her students to learn through experimentation, questioning, and collaboration.
