Attention all Badgerlink users: there are seven new upgraded resources and some upcoming changes to existing resources you should know about. Some of these changes include name changes and replacements of resources you may have grown accustomed to using. If you have any questions about these resources, please visit staff at Information & Reference for assistance.

A new addition to Badgerlink’s is the Britannica Library, an easy to use resource where you can find trusted information. Just select your level and explore. Britannica Library

New and upgraded resources include:

Children’s Core Collection: Reliable guides to help librarians with collection development and maintenance, curriculum support, readers’ advisory and general reference for preschool-6th grade. This resource replaced Book Collection Nonfiction: Elementary School Edition.

Middle & Junior High Core Collection: Reliable guides to help librarians with collection development and maintenance, curriculum support, readers’ advisory and general reference for grades 5-9. This resource replaced Book Collection Nonfiction: Middle School Edition.

Senior High Core Collection: Reliable guides to help librarians with collection development and maintenance, curriculum support, readers’ advisory and general reference for grades 9-12. This resource replaced Book Collection Nonfiction: High School Edition.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts with Full Text: Database providing cover-to-cover indexing, abstracting and full-text for key library and information science periodicals. This database provides great information for library and information science students and professionals.

MasterFILE Complete: Popular full-text magazines, reference books and other sources from the world’s leading publishers. This resource will be replacing MasterFILE Premier. Covers topics including business, health, education, fitness, sports and leisure, multicultural issues, DIY, and fashion. With more than 2,300 full-text magazines and journals, more than 870 full-text reference books, and more than 1.6 million photos, maps and flags, you are bound to find something to use for your next class project!MasterFile Complete

Teacher Reference Center: Research database for teachers providing indexing and abstracts for more than 220 peer-reviewed journals. Covers assessment, best practices, continuing education, instructional media, school administration, and teacher education.

Also, Badgerlink has shared that Newspapers.com Library Edition World Collection and U.S. Newsstream should be ready in the coming weeks. These resources will be replacing Access Newspaper Archive.
