I like trying new things. Especially when I don’t have to try very hard. I’m not exactly lazy. I simply believe in conserving my time and energy as much as possible. If someone else has already created simple instructions on how to make a wheel, there’s no way I’m going to start figuring it out from scratch. That’s one of the things I like best about working on the Dabble Box makerspace team. Staff and customers are all very generous with their knowledge and creativity. I’m not ashamed to say I almost always learn something cool that I’d never thought of when I’m “teaching” a class.
Each month in the Dabble Box we offer a new project, complete with instructions and materials, for you to make on your own during open lab times. During November, drop in to any open lab to make your own DIY Scrub Cleaner to take home with you. We also stockpile the instructions from previous months in our Project Card Library for you to view or print from anywhere. Check in regularly to see our new monthly projects as well as instructions from selected youth and adult programs. We often have leftover supplies in the Dabble Box, which you are welcome to use whenever we are open. Just ask staff to find out what’s available.
I have some favorites from our Project Card Library I just have to highlight below. Please don’t hesitate to leave your comments and suggestions at the bottom of this page. We’re excited about building this resource and your input is important to us. Hope we can help with your DIY “conservation” efforts!
